Our mission is simple… to help people find and fulfill the abundant life that comes from following Jesus. We believe the best way to accomplish this is to create a community where people can come to FOLLOW Jesus, FIND Freedom and FULFILL Purpose.
TimberCreek Church is led by our Lead Pastor with the support of a Pastoral Team (Elders) and with the advice, counsel and accountability of an Advisory Team (Board).
We consider reaching people who do not know Jesus personally to be one of our greatest responsibilities. Our Sunday services are for people at all stages in life but are primarily designed for those who haven’t attended church before. In other words, we believe God has called us to be a church that unchurched people love to attend. We have created our Sunday services to be full of powerful worship and practical teaching.
We believe life change happens best in the context of relationships. Life Groups have one simple purpose: to bring people together. God created us to live in community with others, and it is only then that we can experience the full life He intends for us.
We think that God created each of us on purpose with a purpose and that when we discover what that purpose is, we can begin to live life with more meaning and joy! Our purpose as a church is to help you discover your purpose!
The Bible (Old and New Testament) is the inspired, accurate and authoritative Word of God. It is the blueprint and final authority for Christian Living.
There is only one true God – holy, perfect, and sovereign in power. He exists in three equal and eternal persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are distinct, but act in absolute unity.
The Father – God the Father created the universe and everything in it. He is the giver of all good things who set a plan in place to save humanity from its sin and restore our relationship with Him.
The Son – Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a life without sin, was crucified on a cross, and rose from the dead.
The Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit resides in every person redeemed by God. He encourages, empowers and guides believers of Jesus. The Spirit produces great things in us (Fruit of the Spirit), and does great things through us (Gifts of the Spirit).
Humanity was created in the image of God. However, by a voluntary act of the will, Adam and Eve disobeyed God. That first sin separated humanity from God and left mankind in a fallen or sinful condition.
The only means of salvation is Jesus Christ. He died on the cross to pay the penalty of our sins. When we put our faith in Jesus, our sins are forgiven and our relationship with God is restored. We become part of His family and are given eternal life with Him.
Humans were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin in Hell, or together with God through forgiveness and salvation in Heaven.
The church is the body of Christ sent into the world to lead people to know and love Jesus Christ. TimberCreek exists to help people find and fulfill the abundant life that comes from God.
Christ gave the church two visible symbols as reminders of our relationship with Him and His finished work. They are called ordinances because they are religious practices ordained or established by Jesus Himself. These two ordinances are Baptism and Communion. In fulfilling these spiritual services, Christians are reminded of an important work that has already taken place in the heart of the believer.
